Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc - East Shuswap Road: Watermain and Reservoir

Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) requires a new 2,630 m3 reservoir in the East Shuswap pressure zone to replace the existing, aging and undersized 350 m3 East Shuswap Reservoir.  This project is necessary to (1) maintain current levels of water services for future development along East Shuswap Rd, and (2) to upgrade the system to be able to achieve minimum fire flow targets to all lots in the area.  This includes at the Tk'emlúps Healing House, which is expected to be completed in Fall 2026. The existing infrastructure is not able to meet fire flow targets in the majority of the pressure zone, and this must be rectified before the Healing House is officially opened.

The site infrastructure upgrades include installation of a 2,630 m3 concrete reservoir (divided into two 1,315 m3 cells), 420 m of new 350 mm watermain, and related site drainage, electrical, and instrumentation upgrades.

An archaeological overview has been completed by Tk'emlúps' Archaeology Department, and an Environmental Assessment Scoping Report was completed to determine potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures.
