I support the 15-Mile Processing Hub Project in every aspect.
I worked at these operations for six years in Nova Scotia, starting as a labourer and progressing through to operator, then lead hand, and eventually supervisor. I’m still working in the gold mining industry today, just outside the province, and I understand first-hand what responsible mining can bring when it’s done properly.
This project represents a real opportunity to bring long-term, stable employment and meaningful economic activity back to rural Nova Scotia. Beyond jobs, it means local contracts, training opportunities, and renewed confidence in communities that have supported mining for generations.
With modern environmental standards, proper oversight, and continued engagement with Indigenous communities and the public, this is exactly the kind of development that balances economic growth with responsible stewardship. The infrastructure already exists in these historic sites, and revitalizing them makes sense both economically and environmentally compared to starting from scratch elsewhere.
Nova Scotia has a strong mining history, and this project feels like a chance to build on that legacy in a way that benefits workers, families, and the province as a whole. I fully support moving it forward and encouraging continued dialogue to ensure it’s done right, safely, and transparently.
